My Approach

In my practice I specialize in addressing stuck and bothersome feelings, thoughts, and beliefs that prevent individuals from living their lives to the fullest. 

Feelings of sadness, anger, frustration, worry, fear, stress, boredom, anxiety, panic, etc. keep people stuck in cycles of self-sabotage, where they end up acting in ways that reinforce and maintain those feelings. Repressed and unresolved traumatic incidents, regardless of how long ago they happened, typically result in a person experiencing the feelings mentioned above, and those may often as well result in bodily sensations and changes, such as low energy, decreased/increased sleep and appetite, heart palpitations, chest pains, sensations of choking and panic, headaches, addictions, etc. 

I believe that building trust between the individual and therapist is a must for the therapy work to be effective. Once trust is established I then review with the person those incidents of their lives that have had the most negative impact, and guide the person through different strategies to extinguish or eliminate the bothersome physical and emotional sensations.

My therapeutic style is guided by elements from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and other energy medicine modalities.
